Hidden "Initial Balance" or "Total Balance"

These two values are interdependent, where a change in one value automatically affects the other. During usage, updates are typically made to the Total Balance, while the Initial Balance is rarely modified (it is usually only set once at the beginning). Therefore, is it possible to hide the Initial Balance or even abolish it altogether?
