[2.1.6] Incorrect filtering of chart items when using custom periods

If you have set a user-defined period in the app (e.g. from 15.10.2024 to 31.12.2024), the chart items are not calculated correctly.

So (assuming you have created a transaction on 1.10.2024) this is also included in the chart although it should not actually be. The situation is similar for the entries in the distribution widget. However, transactions seem to be missing there. Presumably only the time period is calculated incorrectly for the chart data.

If you only filter by month / year this does not occur.

    Do you by any chance check/investigate Feedback on featurebase? I see a ton of comments gone unanswered. Is this worth using this platform to report things like bugs & feature requests?

      Yes, I do check the feedback on Featurebase, but the last few days have been pretty stressful for me. Since I'm not working on the app full time, but on top of my day job, I can't always respond right away. However, I'm doing my best and will go through everything bit by bit.

        Forgive me, Fabian. One of the reasons I left my previous app is because the dev was MIA for over 5-7 years and it was showing it’s age with bugs. Plus, I got caught up in the excitement of finding such a brilliant budget app. It’s the perfect fit for me.

        I see you are incredibly dedicated to the app and I hope it can eventually become your full time gig. You deserve it, truly. Again my apologies for my impatience.

I'm really happy to hear that you like the app so much and that you're so dedicated to providing feedback 😊 I just wanted to make it clear that I can't implement everything right away - though as you've noticed, I do my best to release new features and bug fixes as quickly as possible.

          I also really appreciate that you think I deserve to work on the app full time. I hope this will work out one day, as it would speed up development and allow me to release the app on other platforms - maybe even with a few more people working on it 😅
