Budget Flow💡 Feature Requests

I’m a power user of BudgetFlow and I’ve built an automation pipeline that parses bank SMS messages and creates transactions automatically via Apple Shortcuts.

I’d love to use a headless REST API instead — just a simple POST endpoint to create transactions programmatically without needing the Shortcuts app at all. This would enable server-side automation (n8n, Zapier, etc.) to feed transactions directly into BudgetFlow.

    This could prove challenging because it may introduce new threat vectors. Handling financial data through such APIs is not straightforward. Rolling it out to lifetime buyers might also be impractical; it would function as an add-on as it will have recurring server cost. Still, it is a sound idea. As a power user, I now use AI to parse SMS or payment screenshots and add transactions via shortcut.
