In addition to the existing "Book all transactions" option, there should be another option that also takes all planned transactions into account when calculating the account balances, balances, totals, etc. for the selected period (e.g. month). This option is useful because, for example, at the beginning of the month you can see how much of the total budget for variable costs is still available for the current month, minus the transactions already planned.
