Budget Flow 3.1.2 constantly freezing / rainbow wheel on macOS (2021 MBP M1 Pro)

Hi everyone, I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.

I’m running Budget Flow 3.1.2 on a 2021 14-inch MacBook Pro (M1 Pro, 16GB RAM) on macOS Tahoe 26.1, and over the last couple of days the app has become almost unusable.

I keep getting:

• the rainbow spinning wheel

• windows freezing open/empty after entering a transaction or editing a category/account.

Activity Monitor shows the app regularly jumping to 40–45% CPU usage and spawning a very high number of threads. It feels like it’s stuck in some kind of background processing loop.

I tried:

• relaunching the app

• restarting my Mac

• closing all other apps

Nothing has helped so far.

Is anyone else running into this with version 3.1.2 on M1 Macs?
And if so, did you find a workaround?
