Daily insight: the feature that I’m missing

I’d like to suggest a feature that would greatly improve budget management: an optional Daily Insight/Pace indicator within budgets.

How it works:

Since each budget has a fixed amount and target date, the app can calculate the daily safe-to-spend limit to keep users on track until the end of the period.

• A $1,000 budget for 10 days starts with a daily safe spend of $100/day.

• If I spend $100 on Day 1, the indicator remains $100 for the remaining 9 days.

• If I spend $250 on Day 2, it dynamically recalculates to $81.25/day ($650 remaining ÷ 8 days).

Why this helps:

While the current total remaining balance is helpful, it’s hard to gauge early in the cycle (e.g., on Day 3 of 30) whether my current spending pace is sustainable. A daily target makes this immediately clear.

Widget integration:

It would also be great to have a home screen widget displaying this daily limit for a selected budget, or to update the existing Budget widget by adding this metric.
