Hello,
First of all, thank you for Budget Flow. I use it extensively together with Apple Shortcuts, and I have a couple of feature requests that would significantly improve automation.
1. Support transfers in Shortcuts
Currently, Shortcuts can create Income and Expense transactions, but there is no action to create a Transfer between accounts.
Please add a dedicated Add Transfer action (or extend the existing actions) so transfers can be created entirely from Shortcuts without opening the app or requiring manual confirmation.
2. Support duplicate category names in different folders
At the moment, the Shortcuts action accepts only the category name as plain text. In Budget Flow, categories are organized into folders, and different folders can contain categories with the same name.
For example:
Transport > Car
Travel > Car
In Shortcuts, only “Car” is available, so there is no way to specify which category should be used.
Possible solutions:
expose Category as an App Entity with a unique identifier instead of plain text;
add a separate Folder parameter;
or display categories as “Folder / Category” in the Shortcuts picker.
This would make automations much more reliable and would fully support users who organize their categories by folders.
Thank you for considering these improvements.
