More Accurate Scanning off Amazon Receipts

I order a large quantity of items from Amazon and receipt scanning gets it wrong on almost every Amazon receipt. Most of the time the scanning feature selects the last four digits of my credit card number and uses that as a total cost on the order. Specifying the right column on receipts for cost of goods might help eliminate this problem with Amazon (or excluding the payment method column). Also, the scanning feature often selects the item subtotal number at the top of the column on a receipt instead of the grand total number at the bottom of the list.
