It would be great to have an option to associate an expense with the shared account, even when it's paid through a personal account. In our case, my wife and I manage both personal and shared budget books. Typically, we cover shared expenses using our personal accounts and later reimburse ourselves in bulk from the shared budget book via the 'transfer' mode. Being able to link the expense to the shared account would streamline this process.
