Rethink Multi currency Usage

A tx is not in Native Currency, the app is not able to calculate the exact amount out of pocket. Like for example, I could exchange it with the provider, or I could pay with credit or debit, I could be charged fx fee or I couldn’t.

My point is when you have an account with different currency and you are making a transfer from Ac1 $ to Ac2 €. I want to type in the amount transferred and the amount received and I want the app to calculate the currency rate.

Right now it works like this.

You’re pressing the Plus Button.

You’re typing in the amount and pressing transfer.

You’re choosing Ac1 $ to Ac2 €, category, date, etc.

The app calculates that now you have two txs Ac1 out 1999$ and Ac2 in 1951.53€.

But in real life, for example, you’ve been billed a different amount, you don’t know the rate, this tx ended for you with having 1812.35€.

What you can do right now is to go to the Ac2 €.

Edit in € transfer and all you can do is just edit the rate.

Now I need to separately calculate at what rate I’ve got these Euros, press the Save button and I see that I need to change the USD amount from $2146.69 to the original $1999 — Because, after changing the rate the 1951.53€ stays and will be recalculated only the $ Dollar amount — to reflect the true amount I have 1812.35€. Which I will NOT be able to achieve bc the in-app calculator uses two digits after the separator. And the app shows in this case that I have $1999/1812.35€=1.10 ( False ) — $ 1999/1.10= 1,817.27.

The correct amount is 1.1029878335 to achieve $1999/1.1029878335=1812.35€

This is half bad if I could use a third-party Calculator app, but I won’t be able even to paste this rate 1.1029878335 into your app. I ONLY must fill it manually.

My proposal

You’re choosing FROM $ and TO €.

The app understands this will be an exchange and asking me for the end result € amount. The app calculates the rate from $amount/€amount=rate.02928380302828toInfinity
